Bamigboye AishatProgram Associate

Aishat Bamigboye has over four years of experience investing in and supporting Africa’s entrepreneurs and investment vehicles. At KFSD, she supports the design and implementation of impactful investment mobilization programs. Previously, Aisha was an Investment Analyst at Future Africa, where she facilitated over $3.5m in seed capital for renowned startups like Moove, Bamboo, Releaf and CDcare. She also co-led founder support initiatives and mentored early-stage startups through Accelerate Africa. Aisha began her career at African Capital Alliance within the Investor Relations and PE Real Estate teams of a $1.2bn Fund. She holds a BSc in Economics from the University of Ibadan and a PgD from the Nigerian University of Technology and Management as an inaugural scholar. She is also an alumna of Dream VC and CatalyzU.

Chris Rangen is a strategy advisor and business school faculty. He works with CEOs, companies, strategy leaders, ecosystem developers, innovation agencies, venture funds, national fund-of-funds and governments on their top strategy and transformation challenges. Through his client work, he has shaped national innovation policies in North America, accelerated new venture funds around the globe, developed angel networks in the Middle East, helped large corporates transform and helped build a more entrepreneurial, dynamic economy in many parts of the world. His ongoing research on Innovation Superclusters and national venture capital ecosystems has been called ‘Groundbreaking’. In the venture capital space, Chris runs multiple VC Masterclasses, GP Accelerator Programs and helps countries develop their national VC ecosystems. Chris is the founder of Strategy Tools, a global strategy platform, where he has developed 400+ strategy canvases, 7 strategy simulations, and served clients in over 50 countries

Efe BraimahExecutive Director

Efe Braimah is a senior investment and policy advisor with over a decade of experience driving impact at the intersection of private capital, economic reform, and financial inclusion. At the Kuramo Foundation, she leads social finance innovation strategy - developing catalytic solutions to mobilize capital, strengthen institutions, and expand financial access. As former Managing Director at CrossBoundary Nigeria, she facilitated $100M+ into MSMEs, structured blended finance vehicles targeting $550M+, and advised the Nigerian government and Central Bank on the post-COVID Economic Sustainability Plan. She currently advises Nigeria’s Minister Trade and Investment through an embedded, non-fiduciary role. A thought leader in gender lens investing and alternative finance, Efe was named a Black Women in Asset Management 40 Under 40 nominee in 2023. She holds a First-Class M.Eng. from Imperial College London and began her career at Citibank and BCG.

Kamal Pallan is a Founding Partner & Chief Operating Officer at Kuramo Capital Management, LLC, where he oversees operations, marketing, business management, and strategy. With over two decades of experience in investment management, Kamal also serves on the Kuramo Capital Investment Committee. Prior to Kuramo, Kamal held senior roles at J.P. Morgan, including Managing Director for Global Custody in the Americas, where he developed and launched innovative products, championed strategic initiatives, and ensured compliance with regulatory standards. He also served as Vice President in the ADR Group, leading expansions into emerging markets and developing new business lines. Earlier in his career, Kamal was an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company, advising clients on growth strategies, mergers, and operational improvements. He also worked at GE Capital as a Senior Analyst in Structured Finance and at the World Bank's International Finance Corporation, focusing on project finance and natural resources investments. Kamal holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering (summa cum laude) and an MBA in Strategy and Information Systems, both from the University of Pennsylvania.

Ramatoulaye CorréaProgram Analyst

Ramatoulaye Corréa is a sustainability finance analyst with expertise at the intersection of climate policy, sustainable finance, and development in emerging markets. At KFSD, she supports key projects focused on women, conducting monitoring and evaluation while driving sustainable private sector growth. Previously, she served as a Climate project analyst with UNEP FI in Geneva, contributing to GEF-funded projects, and as Mission, Strategy, Planning and Monitoring Officer at CONCREE, supporting entrepreneurship programs across West Africa. She also brings business consulting experience from iNov'UP. Ramatoulaye holds a Master of Science in Sustainable Finance from Kedge Business School Paris and a Bachelor in International Management from Bordeaux Ecole Management.

Sarah Ngamau is a private equity leader with over 15 years of experience across Africa’s investment ecosystem. As Managing Director and Partner at the Moremi Fund—Kuramo Capital’s gender-lens initiative—she leads strategy and portfolio investments supporting diverse fund managers across the continent. She was previously Managing Director at Creadev Africa, a $2B evergreen platform, and held key roles at Kuramo Capital and TBL Mirror Fund, with experience spanning deal sourcing, structuring, and operational support. Sarah also serves on investment committees and mentors emerging managers through accelerators and hubs. She holds an MBA and a First-Class degree in Economics & Accounting from the University of Nairobi, is a Certified Public Accountant, and was named to Kenya’s Top 40 Under 40 by Business Daily in 2019.

Toke SoyeboSenior Program Consultant

Toke Soyebo is an impact finance leader with nearly a decade of experience across international development, venture investing, and financial operations spanning global institutions and Africa’s investment ecosystem. She is a Senior Program Consultant at Kuramo Foundation, where she leads strategy design and implementation for catalytic capital initiatives supporting a diverse portfolio of fund managers across the continent. Previously, Toke worked at Dalberg Advisors, where she advised DFIs, foundations, and African governments on financial inclusion, gender lens investing, and job creation strategies. She began her career at PwC and later helped scale a Nigeria-based fintech startup across African markets. Her experience also includes investment roles at Novastar Ventures, where she supported capital formation and investment readiness for high-growth ventures, and Credit Suisse (now UBS), where she was part of the UHNW advisory team serving global family offices. Toke holds an MBA from Columbia Business School, where she was recognized as a Glenn Hubbard Fellow for extraordinary contributions to the school and received the inaugural Theodora Rutherdorf Award for principled leadership. She also holds a Master’s and bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Southern California and is a licensed CPA in the state of California. She is passionate about reimagining capital flows to emerging markets through inclusive, locally rooted investment strategies.

Wale Adeosun is a pioneering investor and leading figure in African private equity and venture capital. He is the Founder and CEO of Kuramo Capital Management, a multi- asset investment firm that has deployed over $3.5 billion into African businesses and backed more than 200 companies across 30 countries. Widely regarded as a champion of African fund managers, Wale was named LP of the Decade at the Private Equity Africa Awards and received the 2024 LP Person of the Year award for his leadership in catalyzing institutional capital into African markets. Prior to founding Kuramo, he served as CIO of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Managing Director at the MacArthur Foundation, overseeing multibillion-dollar portfolios. Wale was appointed to President Obama’s Advisory Council on Doing Business in Africa and currently chairs the Nigeria Higher Education Foundation. He is a CFA charterholder and a vocal advocate for African-led investment strategies on the global stage.
